Manchester United

The new Manchester United home kit uses the success of the past to inspire the glory of the future. Records broken, championships crowned, Manchester United's winning mentality never stops. Old Trafford fortress has a new look that will front another red surge into the new season. A new season, a new design. Nike have kept a sleek and simple look for the new 2011/12 Manchester United Home Shirt. The classic white collar worn by heroes, Best, Charlton and the 99 treble winners no longer features. In its place is new white crew-necked creation with a central black stripe. The new white and black crew neck is a design replica of the club's retro bar scarf, which has previously appeared on shirts worn by legendary United sides of the past, including the 1977 and 1985 FA Cup winners, and on the back of the shirts worn by the winners of the 2008 Barclays Premier League and UEFA Champions League.

The new Manchester United 11/12 Home Jersey features a revolutionary sweat controlling fabric and body contoured shape. The improved Nike Dri-Fit fabric helps to quickly evaporate moisture by drawing through the fabric to the surface to keep players dry.

For the first time, the shorts and the socks – as well as the shirt – are made up from Nike's ground-breaking recycled polyester. Each kit is made up of up to thirteen reclaimed plastic water bottles, reducing the energy consumption by up to 30 per cent compared to the manufacturing of traditional polyester.

For the first time on a Manchester United shirt, the iconic club badge is heat-transferred. For traditionalist this news may come as a disappointment, but the new badge construction crucially allows increased ventilation in the chest area while further reducing the weight of the shirt.

The Red Devil's new 11/12 Home Jersey will get its first taste of competitive action in Manchester United's pre-season tour of the USA that will see them take on the New England Revolution, Chicago Fire, Seattle Sounders, MLS All Stars and FC Barcelona as part of their second consecutive North American campaign.

Manchester City

The inspiration for the new Manchester City Umbro kit is taken from the most famous shirt in the club’s history – the black and red shirt worn in 1969 and 1970 during which time City won the FA Cup, League Cup and European Cup Winners Cup. To achieve the ‘tailored’ look for the 2011/2012 Manchester City away shirt, the Umbro kit designers draped black and red fabric over the silhouette of the modern day ‘arms out’ goal celebration.

The shirt is designed so that when a player celebrates a goal or links arms with team mates, the black and red stripe remains consistent. For this reason, there is no seam on the underarm as traditionally stitching can distort the shape and flow of a stripe. The stripe width on the shirt was inspired by the old 1969 kit. The long sleeve version features an all-black forearm so that there is a unified stripe-look when the players link arms in goal celebrations.

F.C.Barcelona

The new Barcelona 11/12 Nike Away Kit is the uniform that the newly crowned La Liga champions will wear on their travels next season. Describing the new look, Sports Director of Professional Football Andoni Zubizarreta commented: "The black reserve strip is elegant and will be great to wear". We're guessing Barca are hoping to intimidate the opposition on their own turf!. The release of the new 11/12 Nike Barcelona Away Kit is a special moment in Barcelona FC history. For the first time the club will wear a home and away strip featuring a shirt sponsor. Qatar Foundation will adorn the highly sought after retail space across the front of Barcelona's new jerseys for the next five years.

Celtic

The kit is inspired by a former Celtic away kit, first worn in the 1926-27 season, which featured quarters of solid green and white. This has been updated, to combine the iconic hoops from the home shirt with the same yellow and black combination which was first used on a Celtic kit in the late 1990s.

The Celtic third kit shorts are black with a yellow stripe on the back near the bottom of each leg, while the sock are yellow with a black band at the top, and two black hoops with 'CFC' featured in the centre on the back of each calf.
