It's Blue! adidas Unveil Chelsea Kit For Next Season

Chelsea become the first Premier League club to reveal their uniform for the forthcoming 2013/14 season...and it's blue! Following on from the unforgettable tease campaign, adidas have today unveiled the new Chelsea home kit, taking inspiration from past legendary shirts worn by Chelsea greats.

The launch earlier this month took the sporting world by storm. The unique teaser video of Chelsea FC’s stars dripping from head to toe in the club's colours went viral, receiving over 1.5 million hits on YouTube worldwide.

The traditionally styled blue kit shows the history of the London club, featuring a new v-neck collar design. A redesigned pin-stripe look adorns the front of the jersey, replacing the diagonal stripes of the current shirt. Adidas also lose the gold branding across the logo, stripes & club crest, reverting to a four colour design. This is an adidas Chelsea strip in its finest form.

Imagery released by adidas rounds-off one of the most memorable kit campaigns we've witnessed. A spokesperson from adidas, commented: “The campaign was aimed at inspiring the fans. The viral and iconic imagery that now adorns the club has shown the lengths that the players will go to for the club and the reaction from the fans has been outstanding”.

The blue kit features the latest adidas technologies to ensure that it not only evokes Chelsea tradition but gives CFC an edge on the pitch. TechFit is designed to help improve speed, endurance and awareness, while stabilising muscles and focusing energy. adidas ClimaCool technology provides a mixture of heat and moisture controlling materials, ventilation channels and 3D fabrics to improve air flow to the skin in key heat zones.
